Capistrano Beach, CA - Scott Sargeant is a success and mental performance coach. In his life he has been an Aerospace Engineer, an NCAA champion and an Olympic-level athlete. He is also a former quadriplegic, following an incident that broke two cervical vertebrae and crushed his spine. He may also be one of the most inspirational people you will ever meet.
One of the ways Scott Sargeant helps people get beyond their limitations is to get really clear about the story that they have been telling themselves. So often the thing that we create is self-hypnosis. It is something that is often imagined and made up. Scott's process helps them tell a new story.
If you are ready to take that next step, or if you are interested in inspiring your organization to move forward, Scott Sargeant may just be the man you need. If you would like more information about working with Scott on your goals, or if you would be interested in having him speak to your organization, please email Scott at Scott@ScottSargeant.com or call 858-353-4354.

Fear is like being paralyzed... - Scott Sargeant, Performance Coach
Scott Sargeant is a success and mental performance coach. In his life he has been an Aerospace Engineer, an NCAA champion and an Olympic-level athlete. He is also a former quadriplegic, following an incident that broke two cervical vertebrae and crushed his spine. He may also be one of the most inspirational people you will ever meet.
In an effort to better connect with the people who can most benefit from his experience and skills, Scott has released a new short video entitled “Scott Sargeant on Fear.” In this video he shares his views on fear ,how it can “paralyze” us into inaction, and how we can address it.
“Fear is one of those things that often keeps us stuck or ‘paralyzed,’” says Scott. He compares this often emotional and mental paralysis to his own experience of near total physical paralysis, unable to move or even feel. “Fear can paralyze us if we allow it to take over our system.”
What is the solution? Scott says it involves being able to see fear for what it is and then move through it. Fear is temporary. Acknowledging this and seeing that it is a stage can allow an individual to find the strength to move forward and be successful. With his own personal experience recovering from physical paralysis and the fear associated with it, Scott has the empathy and insight that will help you move beyond the fear to your own success.
If you are ready to take that next step, or if you are interested in inspiring your organization to move forward, Scott Sargeant may just be the man you need. In an effort to better connect with the people who can most benefit from his experience and skills, Scott has released a new short video entitled “3 Keys to Success.” In this video he discusses the mental, physical and environmental elements that go into becoming successful in any endeavor.
“The first key is having a champion’s mindset,” Scott explains. The proper mindset is all important in being successful in any endeavor. This includes such elements as vision, passion, belief and the mental skills that work together towards a goal. A second key, which Scott refers to as “nourish your nerves,” includes those physical elements of nutrition and health, as well as management of stress that so often inhibits the mental component. Finally, the third key is transforming your environment to one more conducive to reaching your goals.
As a former Olympic-level and All-American athlete, Scott has experienced setting goals, training his mind and body, and creating a supportive environment. After becoming a quadriplegic, he was able to use these skills to transform his situation from lifelong paralysis to successfully walking out of the hospital on his own. If anyone can guide you through your own challenges to your desired success, Scott could be that person.

“People work with me because they want results,” Scott says. He explains how it could be a challenge they have been dealing with for a long time, or it could be a dream they have but don’t know how to reach. “I believe they can see in my experience and what I can reflect back to them the potential that they have.”
For many people, this means providing them with the space to “expand into their greatness” through a combination of passion and patience. Scott achieves this through his ability to know when to encourage and comfort someone and when to challenge them. His own personal experiences give him a level of empathy that few mental performance coaches have.
